    • Tips to Shift our Energy and Enhance Feelings of Wellbeing

Tips to Shift our Energy and Enhance Feelings of Wellbeing

* If you’re feeling down, anxious, stressed … acknowledge it, give yourself permission to sit with the feelings, to express and release them, in whatever way comes naturally for you.

* Consciously invite the mind to choose positive thoughts and a positive attitude. Set a positive intention every morning, come back to it throughout the day and before going to bed.

* Eat nutrient-dense, whole foods and stay well hydrated. Remember that your diet isn’t only what you eat and drink, it’s also what you watch, read and listen to.

* Turn off the screens and choose an uplifting book, hobby or activity. Find an outlet, a project to express some creativity.

* Open the doors and windows and allow natural air exchange, for at least 5 minutes a day. Move your body, at least 30 minutes every day. Break it up into 10- or 15-minute intervals if that’s best for you. Walking counts! Participate in some online classes.

* Immerse yourself in nature, every day or as often as you can.

* Yoga … keep coming to your mat, with no expectations. Ground yourself, connect to your breath and heart space, listen to your body and give it what it wants, with kindness and grace.

* Pranayama (breath work). Meditation. Mantra. Prayer and spiritual practices.

* Use Yoga Tune-up balls and exercises if you have them, to help stretch muscles and release fascia.

* Listen to uplifting music. Sing and dance your heart out!

* Bless any items that no longer serve you, clear them out along with the clutter. Wash windows to brighten your view. "Spring" clean, no matter the season!

* Clear out any struggling houseplants. Give the rest a trim, a dose of fertilizer, and a shower to clean off the dust and debris. Plant seeds and grow seedlings to transplant to your garden.

* Diffuse pure essential oils. Thieves and Purification are great if you have them. Citrus oils are uplifting. Lavender and peppermint are calming.

* Burn beeswax candles and light Himalayan salt lamps. They produce negative ions.

* Bring out and dust off crystals, seashells, rocks - any collections gathered from the earth, to help you stay grounded. Charge crystals in the sunlight, moonlight, or near a lit beeswax candle.

* Cast off dark colored clothing and wear bright colors.

* Reach out, give and help others. Phone calls, texts, “old fashioned” cards and letters, offerings of homemade food, helping others access groceries, sewing masks for friends and family, making donations and volunteering are some ways to help others feel remembered and cared for.

* Connect virtually with family and friends through online platforms.

* Treat yourself to a bunch of fresh flowers or a flowering plant.

* Dig out old photos, memorabilia, treasures … memories that make you smile and laugh, and warm your heart. Remember the resilience and wisdom of your ancestors.

* Consciously bring in gratitude for your many blessings throughout the day, and before you fall asleep.

* Breathe … and trust
   ... this too shall pass.
